Thursday saw me and my good friend Jake take our last trip of the summer; a short couple of hours drive to Milton Keynes with no aim or schedule to keep to. We just wanted to take photographs of what we saw along the way. This got me thinking, taking photos should be fun and not be a chores because it is a way we can express our individual creativity and so it should be fun to do that!
And as we found out having no aims or main intentions allows you to get some of the best spontaneous photographs! Obviously there is always a need to stay professional and plan ahead for shoots that you are getting paid for so nothing is ever left to chance! But with no main intentions it allows photographic gems to enter your viewfinder as we eventually found in the form of an incredible sunset over the Milton Keynes countryside.
So basically, go and take photographs for fun, do not just take them for specific shoots take them because you can and because you never know what you might encounter.
