I am about to embark on one of the biggest and most exciting challenges of my photography career to date.
I am shooting the Rugby World Cup 2015 for the next 8 weeks. I am going to be blogging and posting as much as possible to keep everyone updated with my progress and explore behind the scenes at a major media sporting event. I have been shooting sport for over a year as a full time professional photographer and I am extremely lucky to have been able to get the opportunity to go to the World Cup especially because it is the UK.
I will be shooting the following matches:
18th September – England v Fiji, Kick Off: 20:00, Twickenham
19th September – South Africa v Japan, Kick Off: 20:00, Brighton Community Stadium
24th September – New Zealand v Namibia, Kick Off: 20:00, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
26th September – South Africa v Samoa, Kick Off: 16:45, Villa Park Birmingham
27th September – Ireland v Romania, Kick Off: 16:45, Wembley Stadium
3rd October – England v Australia, Kick Off: 20:00, Twickenham
4th October – Ireland v Italy, Kick Off: 16:45, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
9th October – New Zealand v Tonga, Kick Off: 20:00, St James’ Park, Newcastle
10th October – England v Uruguay, Kick Off: 20:00, Etihad Stadium, Manchester
11th October – Argentina v Namibia, Kick Off: 12:00, Leicester City Stadium
These are the group stages to start with and another media application process will open to allow me to apply for the quarter, semi and final matches.
Tomorrow I will be travelling to Twickenham for the first media conference outlining some of the guidelines etc. I will also be picking up my media accreditation. As always follow me on Instagram to get live updates of what I am doing as that is what I use most.
It is going to be an exciting and challenging couple of weeks working hard and travelling a lot. I will post images from the games up when I can.
