Last night I was lucky to be the official photographer for the “What PA? acoustic open mic night”. It was an evening that showcased some incredible talent and let me take photographs of the talent! Different combinations of acoustic instruments from guitars to harmonicas created a warm rich sound to listen to and the introduction of a fiddle got the crowd going making the event even better. It was very difficult shooting in the low light conditions pushing my camera to the edge of its capabilities however I have managed to get some very moving low light shots which I think will be used, but now I have now over 900 photographs to go through edit and get onto the website… This will be done very soon….hopefully!
After writing this I was thinking about work as a photographer and what it has given to me, it is for this reason I say to myself that I can’t ask for much more as a photographer I get; front row seats, press passes right with the action and of course seeing and photographing the backstage goings on.
